Valencia, Spain (February 26, 2020)—Equipson has expanded its Work Pro Arion Line Array series with two additions—the 10A and the 5A—which are significant redesigns of previous line array products in the series.
The Work Pro Arion Series is a DSP-powered line array system already based around the Arion 21A system and its double-10-inch format SL210A satellites.
The first addition is the 10A, a single 10-inch version of the Arion 21A that incorporates Work Pro’s internal DSP technology and amplifiers from Danish brand Pascal. The 10A’s amplifier and DSP technology is concentrated in one box, which in turn supplies the powered audio signal to the following box so that only one dual channel amplifier is needed for every two boxes. At the low frequency end of the spectrum, 10A uses an SL218A subwoofer.
The other addition, the 5A, is a fully redesigned, compact line array system that reportedly offers a power ratio of 1,600W peak through its sub and 2,400W peak through its tops.
The 5A tops consist of two 5-inch woofers, one 1.75-inch voice coil, a 2.2-inch ring radiator and a 15-inch sub that can be combined with 4, 6 (1 sub) and 8 or 12 (2 subs) top boxes. The sub used for this system is an SL115AS, which comes with a dual amp high power 2,000W Pascal amplifier. When combined with Work Pro’s internal networked DSP, the amplifier can supply a powered audio signal to the entire system and can be fully managed by Ethernet.
