BenQ’s RM04 Boards Were Implemented in Roughly 650 Classrooms Districtwide, Enhancing Classroom Collaboration and Interactivity
COSTA MESA, Calif. — April 24, 2025 — BenQ, an internationally renowned provider of visual display and collaboration solutions, today announced that Royse City ISD is enhancing its learning environment with the implementation of the BenQ Board RM04 districtwide. The district sought a solution to transform its classrooms that offered comprehensive account management and leveraged the potential of interactive displays beyond simple projector replacements. Installed into roughly 650 classrooms, the BenQ Board RM04 is an interactive display prioritizing seamless integration with Google Workspace and empowers students and teachers to maximize classroom technology.
“The installation of BenQ Boards throughout Royse City ISD demonstrates their commitment to providing students with a modern and engaging learning experience,” said Carly Burton-Sallay, senior marketing manager at BenQ Education. “The RM04 board is easy for students to use and allows educators to enhance classroom learning in their own unique ways. By prioritizing integration with Google Workspace, the RM04 empowers teachers to leverage familiar tools, enhancing classroom collaboration and interactivity.”
Like all BenQ Boards, the RM04 comes equipped with EZWrite, a powerful, license-free whiteboarding software designed to enhance classroom engagement and discussions. With EZWrite 6, users can expand the canvas, split the screen for interactive competitions, insert templates, use math tools, and display a live camera feed. The RM04 also features InstaShare 2, a wireless screen-sharing solution that allows up to nine students to share and control their screens from a laptop, tablet, or smartphone, fostering dynamic collaboration. Cloud whiteboarding enhances accessibility by enabling students to join sessions from their seats or remotely, creating a seamless and inclusive learning experience. Additionally, built-in AI tools — including text to speech, multilingual translation, and optical character recognition — support diverse learning needs by allowing text from images and scanned documents to be edited, making lessons more inclusive and adaptable.
Faced with aging projectors and sound systems, Royse City ISD chose to invest in BenQ’s RM04 Boards to implement a user-friendly solution that seamlessly integrates with the district’s existing technology infrastructure. The BenQ Board RM04 supports the district’s commitment to data-driven decision-making, ensuring technology investments align with both educational goals and teacher needs. To maximize the potential of these interactive boards, Royse City ISD is dedicated to providing ongoing professional development for educators. By prioritizing innovation and technology, the district ensures students have access to the tools and resources necessary to succeed in an ever-evolving digital world.
“Flexibility and student-led instruction have been resounding positives stemming from this installation. We’ve witnessed a significant shift toward student-centered learning with these interactive panels,” said Cody Holt, executive director of learning technologies at Royse City ISD. “The boards empower students to actively participate in the learning process, moving beyond traditional lecture-based instruction and fostering a more dynamic and engaging classroom experience. We’re seeing kids take on a new role, now demonstrating learning in the classroom in real time thanks to BenQ.”
