Digital Projection is to unveil the world’s first commercially available 8K laser projector at ISE 2018, alongside a second major product launch in the form of the Radiance LED video wall.
The company says it will offer more resolution, pixels and possibilities than ever before, as it celebrates ten years at the show.
The Digital Projection Insight Dual Laser 8K projector is pitched as the ultimate solution for the most elaborate medical, scientific and immersive visualisation and large-venue applications.
It provides an ultra-high 8K resolution (7680 x 4320) of 33 million pixels through 25,000 ANSI lumens of solid-state laser-phosphor illumination. It also uses proven DLP technology incorporating 3x 1.38in DarkChip DMD chips and Digital Projection’s ColorMax technology for superb colour accuracy and black levels, which are vital when matching projectors in tiled or blended applications.
Radiance LED, which is being launched to the European market at ISE, is a range of 120Hz and 3D capable Narrow Pixel Pitch (NPP) LED panels ranging from 1.26 to 2.53mm.
With four models to choose from (Radiance LED 1.2, 1.5, 1.9 and 2.5), the new Black SMD LED range offers up to 1,000 nits of brightness, a contrast ratio of 3000:1 and a 120Hz refresh rate.
With a lifetime rated at 50,000 hours, Radiance LED is built on a native 16:9 aspect ratio and is therefore able to achieve full HD 1080p imagery and Ultra-HD 4K, making it ideal for retail, broadcast, command and control, visitor attraction, house of worship as well as rental entertainment applications.
Chris Axford, international sales and marketing director at Digital Projection, said: “The Insight Dual Laser 8K demonstrates our continued commitment to innovation in the solid-state laser projection space – setting an industry standard once again – while the Radiance LED video wall solution uses our expertise in display solutions and channels it into new technologies.”
