ISE (Stand #1-F6), AMSTERDAM — HARMAN Professional Solutions, the global leader in audio, video, lighting and control systems, including networked AV, today introduced the AKG HC644 head-worn and LC617 lavalier microphones for presentation and speech applications. The new microphones feature renowned AKG speech clarity for superior audio performance, along with updated designs that decrease visibility, improve moisture resistance and provide presenters with versatile attachment options. HC644 and LC617 microphones are directly compatible with all AKG body-pack wireless transmitters and are adaptable to most popular wireless systems, making them ideal for presentations in classrooms, lecture halls and multiuse event facilities of any size.
“Head-worn and lavalier mics paired with wireless systems are vital tools for communicating with large groups in a professional and intelligible way,” said Doug Hall, Product Manager, HARMAN Professional Solutions. “The new AKG HC644 and LC617 hands-free microphones provide a level of performance and capability not achievable with other types of mics. They are easy to install, free from RF interference and protected from moisture. They provide even the most discerning speakers with the features they need to deliver a great presentation.”
AKG HC644 is a head-worn miniature condenser microphone with a slim headband, and LC617 is a clip-on omnidirectional lavalier mic with rotating clip. Both products provide a robust feature set to suit an array of applications. Exceptional RF shielding prevents electromagnetic interference such as the crowded 2.4 GHz frequency, cell phones and other high-power wireless devices from ruining the signal. The built-in MicroDot connector allows each mic to be used with a variety of connection types, as well as all major wireless microphone systems. Together, these features add to the flexible performance and reliable sound quality of the AKG HC644 and LC617 models.
In addition to superior sound quality and performance flexibility, AKG HC644 and LC617 are designed to create a more discreet look and stand up to the elements. Thinner cables and more versatile mounting options enable users to hide the cable and mount the microphone quickly and easily. The moisture-resistant design deflects precipitation and the presenter’s perspiration away from the mic using a protective wire-mesh layer. Finally, black and beige color options blend seamlessly with different clothes or skin tones.
