The Community LVH-900 Beamforming Venue Horn from Biamp

AMSTERDAM — Feb. 11, 2020 — Debuting in Europe at ISE 2020 at Booth 1-H140, the Community LVH-900 Beamforming Venue Horn from Biamp provides the highest output, widest bandwidth, and most consistent coverage of any large format point source loudspeaker on the market. The Community LVH-900 Beamforming Venue Horn precisely tailors the directivity of each loudspeaker, or array of loudspeakers, to meet the sound requirements of any large venue application. Combined with Amplified Loudspeaker Controllers, the large-format, arrayable point source loudspeaker delivers precise, smooth, even, and full-range sound distribution.

“Excellent audio performance is essential for creating an extraordinary experience in large venues and stadiums, but it can be challenging and time-consuming to establish precise sound coverage in all seating areas with point source speakers, at least until now,” said Joe Andrulis, Executive Vice President of Corporate Development at Biamp. “The Community LVH-900’s beamforming capabilities provide system designers with the flexibility to modify the coverage pattern of a single loudspeaker, or array of loudspeakers, without having to change out the physical loudspeaker. No other point source loudspeaker on the market achieves the level of performance, coverage, and arrayability we offer in the LVH-900.”

Designed for both music and speech reproduction and available in indoor and outdoor models, the LVH-900 is engineered to serve as a primary loudspeaker for arenas, theaters, stadiums, houses of worship, and other large venues. Each LVH-900 loudspeaker consists of four 12-inch LF drivers, three Biamp Community M200 midrange compression drivers, and four 1.5-inch HF compression drivers. Using patent-pending techniques, all drivers integrate into a single tri-axial waveguide that fills the entire 36 x 31-inch face of the enclosure, providing pattern control to below 400Hz. The LVH-906 and LVH-909 offer 60 or 90 degrees of fixed horizontal dispersion, respectively, with each allowing vertical dispersion beamforming ranging from 60 to 20 degrees.

The Biamp beamforming LVH-900 will be available in the second quarter of 2020.
