Avolites has announced the release of the latest version of the powerful Titan lighting software with version 14, packed with a host of time-saving and practical features taken from user feedback.
Avolites has always taken pride in its ear-to-the-ground philosophy when it comes to user feedback, and it is clear with this latest software release that this has not changed. Taking the most requested and voted for features from its online forums, the team implemented a set of key features that significantly improves workflow management and programming time. “We decided that this release was a great opportunity for us to focus on the many feature requests we have from our users. We feel it is really important to listen to what users want and to provide them with what they have asked for. We hope everyone enjoys using this feature-packed release,” says Avolites Managing Director Paul Wong.
Key features in this release include Virtual Faders, Open Workspace Window Overlay, MaskFX, Handle Options, and Manual Crossfade FX. See further details on the new features below:
• Virtual Faders give you access to 15 virtual handles that provide additional control of playbacks, masters, fixtures and more via the touchscreen. The faders can be paged, and the window is fully configurable to suit your needs.
• Mask FX is a brand-new feature that expands and replaces the old “Block Shapes.” MaskFX expands Block Shapes to cover key frame shapes running on any attribute and Pixel Maps. MaskFX is a quick and powerful tool to adjust the shapes running in your show, helping to make programming more efficient.
• Virtual Faders give you access to 15 virtual handles that provide additional control of playbacks, masters, fixtures and more via the touchscreen. The faders can be paged, and the window is fully configurable to suit your needs.
• What was previously Playback Options is now upgraded as Handle Options. This feature has been completely re-engineered under the hood to make it faster, simpler and more predictable, and to help address a very common pain-point: assigning a key profile to multiple playbacks at once. New shortcuts, along with the streamlined interface, are designed to increase efficiency when programming complex shows.
This release provides a fantastic foundation for Avolites to continue to develop the Titan platform and integrate more significant features in the near future. “Titan v14.0 brings on-screen Virtual Faders to massively expand the available control surface for programming, in addition to a rich feature-set of time-saving efficiency boosts to speed up programming of complex shows. We’re very proud to be delivering features directly inspired by user feedback as part of our ethos of listening carefully to LDs and constantly evolving the Titan platform for the future,” says Avolites Software Developer Peter Bridgeman.
