As The Wall for Business version, it comes in various configurable sizes and ratios from 219-292” 4K versions and 437-583” 8K versions. Samsung will be taking orders for this display in the next couple of days during ISE 2020. The company envisions The Wall for Business for broadcast centers, lobbies, design centers, and more.
The modular microLED display known as The Wall got positioned for lifestyle last year with The Wall Luxury at 292 inches and 8K. It had to get even bigger for Commercial applications apparently.
In addition to microLEDs, The Wall features additional Samsung technology: Black Seal technology promises high contrast for inky blacks; AI upscaling (that’s some good branding!) ensures optimum performance for lower resolution content, and Quantum HDR is described as delivering optimum peak brightness and contrast in every scene.
The bezel-less design supports the wide variety of configurable sizes and ratios. There are in fact two models, the IW008J and IW008R, with the latter offering a slight jump in specs – thinner, 2000 rather than 1600 nits peak brightness, a 100/120Hz refresh rate rather than 50/60 Hz. The IW008R also features smart functions such as entertainment and ambient modes, Netflix, YouTube and Bixby voice control.
