WATCH: Las Vegas Sphere displays first presidential campaign ad

Harris campaign procures ad space on iconic venue

The Las Vegas Sphere is adding to its list of firsts this year. Following its inaugural sporting event with UFC 306 last month, the iconic venue is now featuring the first ever political use of its massive digital signage exterior. In an ad purchased by the Harris-Walz campaign, the $2.3 billion Sphere’s 580,000 square feet of LED signage flashes messages like “vote for freedom” and “vote for opportunity” along with the date of the election and photos of Harris. This uncharted political ad space certainly cost a fortune to procure, and who knows how long it will be until the next time we see the Sphere used to push candidates up in the polls.

“In the days before Election Day, Team Harris-Walz is pulling out all the stops to get voters to the polls,” reads a press release from the campaign. “In Nevada, the Sphere activation will be a critical piece of our efforts, which also includes homepage takeovers of top newspapers, mobile billboards in Reno, Carson City, and Las Vegas.”
