TCL partners with Bang & Olufsen to bring premium audio to TVs and soundbars

First offering codeveloped by the two companies to be the Nxtframe TV, a rival to Samsung's The Frame

TCL has announced it has signed a 6-year licensing with Bang & Olufsen to bring the the Danish luxury audio company’s technology to their TVs. Its first product to utilize B&O’s expertise is the newly-unveiled TCL Nxtframe TV (A300), aimed to rival Samsung’s popular line of The Frame TVs by converting into an artwork display when not in use.

The TCL Nxtframe TV will reportedly come with a soundbar and subwoofer co-designed by TCL and B&O audio teams. The Frame rival will also allow users to customize their audio experience by using B&O’s BeoSonic software.

“We are excited to announce the A300 Pro Nxtframe TV. We want to continue to elevate the customer experience, and partnering with the globally recognized audio-experts from Bang & Olufsen will bring incredible sound to our TCL audio-visual portfolio,” said Zhang Shaoyong, CEO of TCL Electronics.

In addition to the Nxtframe, TCL’s partnership with B&O will see the companies collaborate on a range of TVs as well as speakers and soundbars going forward.
