Built to bring both premium sound and value to background music and paging systems, the new AD-C42T and AD-C81Tw from QSC deliver wide-bandwidth, high-fidelity performance marked with low distortion and sonic clarity. These latest additions to the AcousticDesign Series of ceiling loudspeakers have been optimized for musical applications requiring wide and even coverage.
First up among these new offerings is the model AD-C42T, which houses a 4in. coaxial woofer with a polypropylene cone and 0.75in., post-mount titanium dome tweeter. With a continuous power rating of 40W, 88dB sensitivity, and low-frequency range down to 60Hz, the two-way device comes packaged with its own tile rails and C-ring, back can, and grille. Fully compliant with all European life safety codes, the loudspeaker additionally meets UL2043 and UL1480 codes for use in air handling spaces, and is outfitted with a seismic tab for secondary support.
Housing an 8in. woofer with a polypropylene cone, the AD-C81Tw features a large port area for noise-free bass extension down to 35Hz, a 100W power rating (continuous), and 92dB sensitivity. Sharing all of the supporting features of the AD-C42T, this second new AcousticDesign Series ceiling loudspeaker is additionally equipped with a defeatable passive crossover and side conduit access.
Like all other AcousticDesign ceiling loudspeakers, the AD-C42T and AD-C81Tw employ the same driver technology as QSC’s surface-mount AcousticDesign models to facilitate the mixing of both designs within installations. For aesthetically pleasing integration within any environment, the trim and grille on both devices can be painted.
Shipping this summer, the AD-C42T and AD-C81Tw have an MSRP of $125 and $275 respectively.
