CEDIA to Better Serve Members in 2011
CEDIA membership is an investment in your company, and CEDIA works hard year-round to make sure that you are getting a return on your investment. CEDIA membership is full of exclusive benefits including free whitepapers and listing your company on the Electronic Lifestyles Finder Service.
In this year's renewal letter, CEDIA asks electronic systems contractors to identify their company structure: custom integrator, custom retailer, installer, or service provider. CEDIA is working to make sure all members are represented and have input on the products and services CEDIA offers. Make sure your voice is heard.
To learn more about CEDIA membership, visit www.cedia.org/membership. In February, CEDIA plans to announce a special membership for students as well. Here are some of the benefits your membership provides:
CEDIA works to make sure your interests are represented in legislative issues at the state, local, and federal levels. The Grassroots Legislative Network develops, monitors, and disseminates information regarding legislative and regulatory issues. It also develops and implements public policy strategies and drives participation at a grassroots level. You can join the network by visiting www.cedia.org/public_policy/grassroots.php.
The CEDIA Career Center was introduced as a member benefit last year, and the response has been very positive. CEDIA's Career Center provides a much-needed forum for employers and job seekers to connect. CEDIA members can post job openings and have unlimited access to resumes that have been uploaded by job seekers. Check out the CEDIA Career Center at www.cedia.org/career_center.
Electronic Lifestyles Magazine Winter Edition
CEDIA's Electronic Lifestyles Award winners represent the best and most innovative projects in the electronic systems industry. The winter edition of CEDIA's Electronic Lifestyles magazine profiles all the award winners and features high-quality images of all winning projects. The variety of projects featured can help to inspire your clients to consider new projects. As a CEDIA member, you will receive a complimentary copy of this issue by mail. Order additional copies of the Electronic Lifestyles Winter 2011 issue and provide your clients with examples of what home automation and integration can look like in their homes. In the magazine, you'll find pictures of the projects that won gold, silver, bronze, and overall best awards. The categories represented include:
- Best Large Home Theater
- Best Integrated Home
- Best Media Room
- Best Hidden Installation
- Best Special Project.
Projects vary in price and scope, so there are a large variety of examples to showcase. Use the magazine as a sales tool for adding on and upgrading systems, and as a reference for what the client's project has the potential to be. The magazine can also be distributed to local design and build industry partners to use as examples of why their clients should choose CEDIA members for their home automation projects.
Magazines can be ordered online, and there is special pricing for bulk orders. Order enough copies to pass out to all potential clients. For more information and for details on pricing and ordering, visit www.cedia.org/elmag.
