InfoComm Survey Reveals AV Companies Expanding in 2010

InfoComm International has released the 2010 InfoComm Compensation and Benefits Survey. The 78-page report examines the compensation and benefits trends in the AV industry for the U.S. and Canada. InfoComm produces the survey every two years, polling AV companies on salaries for 27 specific executive, sales, technical, and administrative positions. InfoComm also surveys companies on 21 potential employee benefits.

NSCA Releases Compensation & Benefits Report
Despite a decline in the growth of human capital during the past two years, industry companies surveyed reported median gross sales of $5 million in 2009—compared to $2.6 million to $2.8 million in 2007, according to the latest edition of NSCA’s Compensation & Benefits Report. ...

According to the survey, half of those companies polled reported lower gross revenues in 2009 compared to 2008, but they are positive about the future, with two-thirds expecting to surpass 2009 revenues by a median of close to 10 percent. While 38 percent trimmed full-time staff in 2009, 53 percent plan to expand their workforce in 2010, and only 9 percent expect to cut staff.
