Digital Signage 2010—sponsored by BrightSign, Christie Digital, and Harris—features two half-day workshops for those contemplating entering the digital signage market or deploying a system. The EdTech Summit @ InfoComm, sponsored by Tandberg, is designed to help education technology managers and their CIOs develop additional return on campus technology investments. Mark Taylor of Columbia University will discuss the impending crisis in higher education and the role of technology; Donald Norris, Ph.D., of Strategic Initiatives, will challenge participants to re-imagine higher education; and Mark Valenti, CTS, of the Sextant Group will inform attendees about the future of learning spaces. L. William Nattress III, CTS-D, CTS-I, Shen, Milsom & Wilke, will then advise participants about how to make the most of their time on the show floor.

A host of other new educational sessions, including several addressing InfoComm’s existing and proposed standards, CTS-D Prep, captioning and simultaneous translation, are being offered. “InfoComm is visited by some of the most innovative people in the world, and they attend the show to see the newest audiovisual technology and to receive world-class education,” says Randal A. Lemke, Ph.D., executive director and CEO, InfoComm International. “Our new features are one reason why InfoComm is a can’t miss event each year.”
