INFOCOMM NAMED THE FASTEST-GROWING ASSOCIATION TRADESHOW

InfoComm International, the trade association serving the professional AV industry, has the fastest-growing association-owned tradeshow, according to Tradeshow Week Magazine.

The 2007 Fastest 50 Tradeshows are based on net square footage and the percentage of growth from 2004 to 2006. In this time frame, InfoComm grew from 647 exhibitors in 319,680 square feet of exhibit space in 2004 to 770 exhibitors in more than 432,602 square feet in 2006, reflecting a 35-percent increase in demand for space and 19 percent more exhibitors.

“InfoComm is honored to be named the fastest-growing association tradeshow,” says Randal A. Lemke, Ph.D., executive director of InfoComm International. “It's rewarding to see the vigorous economic trends in the AV industry echoed in the strength of our show. InfoComm's robust educational offerings and strong partners have allowed InfoComm to deliver outstanding value to our exhibitors and attendees.”

InfoComm 07, held in Anaheim, Calif., was the biggest tradeshow in the history of the industry, with 861 exhibitors occupying 496,000 square feet of paid exhibits, special events, and demo meeting space. Another record-breaker is expected when InfoComm 08 is held June 18-20 in Las Vegas. For more information please visit www.infocomm.org/events.
