Tributaries’ HXC5 sends an HDMI signal up to 50m. (or 164 ft.) virtually loss-free, according to the manufacturer, over a dual run of standard CAT5/5e/6 network cable. The HXC5 uses balanced/unbalanced signal processing that’s said to ensure high-definition signal integrity for all video formats up through 1080p and is HDMI v1.2- and HDCP-compliant. The HXC5 comes packaged as a ready-to-connect system including a balun transmitter and receiver, each measuring 5”x5”x1”, and two 5V power supplies.
