SIM2’s Grand Cinema C3X is one of the first projectors on the market to pack Texas Instruments’ next-generation DarkChip 4 Digital Light Processing chip, which promises superior contrast and improved brightness. The C3X 1080 incorporates a trio of 0.95in. 1080p chipsets, which are said to achieve a new balance of lumens, contrast, color accuracy, and resolution for unprecedented overall performance.

The 1080p projector resides inside a striking curved chassis measuring roughly 17in. per side. The sculpted, high-gloss cabinet—available in red, black, and gold, or to order—was designed by SIM2 designer Giorgio Revoldini, winner of various industrial design awards. The reference-grade projector offers 10-bit video processing, and HD scaling and deinterlacing, and delivers 1080p/24Hz output. Delivery is slated for November.
