The RGPC TV Guard from Richard Gray’s Power Company Richard Gray’s Power Company is an in-line device that plugs into the coaxial cable line to protect video gear from surges, spikes, and electromagnetic or radio frequency interference. The device is designed to protect HDTV receivers, cable boxes, cable modems, and other devices that use a coaxial connection. Response time is given as less than 100 nanoseconds. Hand-crafted internal components are protected by a sturdy plastic box that can absorb more than 600 surges of 500 amps or more. The TV Guard provides strong protection for narrow-band RF signals and is said to be a more reliable solution than the standard gas discharge cells used in universal coax surge arrestors.
