Pioneer’s first entry into the Blu-ray Disc category is the BDP-94HD, part of the company’s flagship Elite series. Features include HDMI connectivity and compatibility with CEC (Consumer Electronics Control) technology for integration with similarly featured TVs and receivers. The latter enables consumers to control an entire CEC-enabled system via a single remote control, regardless of manufacturer. Pioneer’s Home Media Gallery feature allows consumers to stream video, music, and photo slideshows from their computer in high definition using IP networking. Home Media Gallery is compliant with DLNA, Windows Media Connect, and Microsoft Playsforsure DRM technology.
