Available in 42in. and 50in. versions, Definitive Technology’s Mythos SSA Surround loudspeakers incorporate patented technology that creates the illusion that listeners are surrounded by five separate loudspeakers. Made of extruded aluminum, the loudspeakers are styled to match flatpanel TVs and can be mounted to the wall or on a shelf using supplied hardware.
The SSA-42 is designed to match 30in. to 46in. TVs and the SSA-50 works with 50in. and larger TVs. The SSA-42 driver complement includes three 3.25in. high-output drivers with a .75in. aluminum dome tweeter, two 3.25in. high-output full-range drivers and four 3in. full-range high-output surround drivers. Frequency response is given as 60 Hz-30,000 kHz. Weight is 20lbs.
