AudioControl’s Active Balanced BVD-30 sender and BVR-30 receiver uses Cat-5 wire to connect flatpanel displays to source components. Working together, the devices carry HD component video, three channels of audio (left, center, right), and two bidirectional control signals up to 1,000ft. way in an active balanced format. Using Cat-5 provides a flexible, inexpensive, compact solution for high-quality signal transmission, the company says, including signals with resolution of 1080p or better.
