Artcoustic’s Spitfire on-wall loudspeaker is a compact version of the company’s DF75-55 X2 series. Designed for placement behind a fixed cinema screen or inside a fabric wall, the Spitfire series speakers incorporate dual 10in. woofers that deliver frequency response down to 35Hz. The pair of rippled dome tweeters extends high-end frequency response to 40,000Hz at 96dB at 1W +/- 2dB. Measuring less than 6in. deep, the Spitfire is bi-wirable and comes in mirrored, matched pairs. Artcoustic says the on-wall form factor is an alternative to bulky floorstanding speakers that don’t match the décor or to in-wall speakers that require installation and time-consuming installation. Artcoustic pairs the Spitfires with a 300W subwoofer.
