At 72in. diagonal, the 72MX196 Cinema Series XHD projection TV is Toshiba’s largest TV. The 72MX196 incorporates Toshiba’s TALEN engine with Texas Instruments’ HD5 chip, a Radiance 150W lamp and Toshiba’s PixelPure Hi-Bit 12-bit video processing. ATSC and QAM digital tuning are included for both digital terrestrial and digital cable-in-the-clear broadcasts. The set comes with two HDMI inputs, a PC input and a CableCard input, and Toshiba’s THINC RJ-45 network capability, which allows consumers to connect the TV to a PC through a router for playback of MP3 audio files and JPEG images.
