TheaterCurve Screen Provides Distortion-free Image

The Screen Research TheaterCurve screens are available in 1.78 and 2.35 aspect ratios in both fixed-frame and fixed-frame with lateral masking panel versions. The curved design provides a distortion-free image while giving viewers the impression of being surrounded by the projected image. Available in screen widths from 50in. to 270in., the TheaterCurve models employ Screen Research’s ClearPix, an acoustically transparent screen formulation that has been certified by THX and ISF for sound transparency and outstanding image quality. TheaterCurve screens are said to eliminate the pin-cushion effects that may be present in short focal-distance applications of some anamorphic lenses. They also eliminate the audio “hot spotting” effect caused by solid, non-acoustically transparent curved screens.
