Runco LCD TV Brings NTSC to Near HD Quality

Runco’s new Crystal Portfolio series CX-46HD 46in. 1080p LCD TV features Vivix II video processing that’s said to boost standard NTSC material to near HD quality. The CX-46HD comes with the Imaging Science Foundation’s calibration suite to provide the best image possible in any viewing environment. With a native resolution of 1920x1080p, the CX-46HD has an integrated ATSC tuner, cable-ready NTSC tuner, and detachable speakers. Contrast ratio is 1000:1. The TV includes grayscale tracking and Runco’s VirtualWide mode, which converts 4:3 images to 16:9 without losing image integrity. The 4.5in.-deep display can rest on a display or mount to the wall.
