Using APC power protection technology, Rotel Electronics' RLC 1080 provides system protection against power spikes, brownouts, overvoltages, and RFI noise. With the addition of an extra internal battery module, the RLC 1080 provides uninterrupted power for up to 7.5 minutes with a full load and 24 minutes with a half load—enough time to shut down a home entertainment system without damage to the circuitry or bulbs.
In addition to built-in emergency batteries, additional batteries can be added to extend the system’s working time to 70 minutes at full load or 140 minutes at half load. The RLC 1080 provides protection against surges over AC, telephone and Ethernet lines.
