New Sharp Projector Brings High-Tech to Home Theaters

Sharp’s XV-Z20000 1080p DLP projector offers 16:9 widescreen movie viewing. Its powered iris switchover function gives consumer control over brightness and contrast via remote control, providing flexibility in varying home theater environments with different lighting situations. Contrast ratio is 12000:1 and brightness is 1000 ANSI lumens. Sharp’s CV-IC III video scaling circuitry upconverts standard resolution signals to 1080p. Inputs include two HDMI and one DVI/HDCP. An RS-232 port and Minolta optics round out the package. A 1:1.35 manual zoom lens with vertical lens shift simplifies installation.
