Energy-saving power management features such as auto power-down with no input video signal detected and auto power-on when a video signal is detected on the RGB input are key features of the PX700W from NEC. The dual lamp 7000-lumen projector also offers quick start (3 to 4 seconds) and a sleep timer that can power it down after a set countdown time. There is also edge blending, picture-in-picture, and side-by-side picture configuration. NEC’s PX Series units also provide Open Pluggable Specification (OPS) slots for customized input signal configuration.

The TW865-NL from Optoma is a 6000-lumen large venue projector with motorized zoom, focus and lens shift, side-loading lamp, and three lens choices. Panasonic PT-VW431DU

Panasonic PT-VW431DU

Projectors with built-in HDBaseT capability made a big showing at InfoComm this year, and among those was the PT-VW431DU, high-brightness, 4300-lumen, WXGA-resolution compact body projector from Panasonic. Using the company’s new Digital Link technology, the projector accepts audio, uncompressed HD video, and control on a single Cat-5e/6 LAN cable. It is also equipped with a 1.6X manual zoom and a pleated micro-cut filter that provides up to 4,000 hours of service. Using a single 280W UHM lamp, the PT-VW431DU also features direct off and a built-in 10W speaker.
