AVI-SPL Beefs Up Sales Team

AVI-SPL, a leading provider of audio/video communications solutions, has expanded its sales team up and down the eastern portion of the United States.

AVI-SPL, a leading provider of audio/video communications solutions, has expanded its sales team up and down the eastern portion of the United States.

Jessica Abrante recently joined AVI-SPL's Orlando office as a sales engineer, where she'll concentrate on the corporate and higher education markets. Originally from Venezuela, she brings three years of AV industry experience as an account executive for Xerox Audiovisual Solutions. Abrante is CTS certified in addition to having a B.A. in Broadcasting and a M.A. in Electronic Media Management from Central Michigan University.

AVI-SPL's Washington, DC, office welcomed new sales bid estimator Lee Townsend to the company. In this role, Townsend provides estimates for design/build and bid opportunities, as well as sales engineering support for the staff at the Lanham, Md., office.

Prior to joining AVI-SPL, Townsend worked as a senior design engineer and integration programmer for AE Systems in southern Virginia. Additionally, he's trained and certified in Crestron and AMX integration programming and holds advanced certification from Biamp digital signal processing system design and integration.

As a new sales engineer for AVI-SPL's Boston office, Peter May will focus his sales efforts on the corporate and education markets. May brings four years of audiovisual and videoconferencing system sales to AVI-SPL.

John Casarez recently joined AVI-SPL's Long Island office as a sales engineer where he'll focus on designing and selling audiovisual systems for the corporate market. Casarez brings more than 30 years of AV industry experience to this role, most recently working for KVL Audio Visual Services as sales and design integration Manager. He has his CTS-D certification from InfoComm.

Finally AVI-SPL hired new sales engineer Allen Brooks in its Huntsville, Ala., office. In this role, Brooks provides audio, video, and conferencing solutions to corporate, education, and government clients within Alabama, Mississippi, and Tennessee. Brooks spent the last six years at Quantum Technologies as project manager, where he grew his design/build knowledge of custom audio, video, and system integration projects, according to AVI-SPL.
