AV Integrator Achieves Rare Trifecta

Applied Visual Communications (AVC) announced that the company now has three team members holding both a CTS- I and a CTS- D certification. AVC employees now comprise five percent of the total number of dual advanced certification holders worldwide, according to the company.
"Our staff is one of the best trained and most certified in the industry," said Carole Peters, AVC CEO, in a statement. "This latest achievement is yet one more example of our commitment."
Chuck Espinoza, lead technician and 18-year industry veteran, is the latest AVC employee to earn both a CTS-D and CTS-I certification. He joins vice president Will Seifert and systems engineer Pablo Dublin, who have also achieved the distinction.
Company officials said AVC has grown despite a soft economy by hiring the best talent available and providing the training needed to design, build, and maintain systems that inspire repeat business and referrals.
A Certified Technology Specialist-Design (CTS-D) demonstrates detailed knowledge of how to analyze, select, and plan seamless audiovisual communications equipment interoperation. The CTS-D demonstrates his or her experience in the form of complete specifications and drawings that deliver a desired outcome to meet a client's needs. A Certified Technology Specialist-Installation (CTS-I) installs and maintains audiovisual systems by following specifications, schematics, codes and safety protocols; administering installation process logistics; troubleshooting and problem solving systems; maintaining tools and equipment; and communicating with clients, designers, other trades, other installers and staff to provide the best audiovisual solutions for clients' needs, on time and within budget.
AVC is a Diamond Level Solutions Provider as designated by InfoComm International. This award is the highest category InfoComm bestows. The Diamond Level Certification recognizes the superior number of AVC staff members holding CTS, CTS-D, and CTS-I certifications.
