Lutron Controls Light with New Shading Tech
Lutron Electronics introduced Sivoia QS, offering the same benefits as Sivoia QED shades but with a simplified wiring scheme and the ability to interface directly with the new Grafik Eye QS system.
Lutron Electronics, maker of lighting controls and automated window treatments, introduced Sivoia QS, offering the same benefits as Sivoia QED shades but with a simplified wiring scheme and the ability to interface directly with the new Grafik Eye QS system, according to the company.
Sivoia QS integrates electric light and daylight by operating on the same communications link as its lighting controls, eliminating the need for additional interfaces. Lutron officials say the QS Smart Panel technology allows it to hold a maximum of 100 devices on one link to control up to 100 lighting zones. It also offers easy reconfiguration through reprogramming via remote control, keypad, or drive unit; simplified wiring that doesn't require group controllers, relays, or line-voltage wiring between drive units; and diagnostics to quickly verify system communication and writing while powering up to 30 shades.
"Today, both residential and commercial spaces are demanding flexible control in order to adapt to a variety of activities. Lighting control helps transition these spaces quickly and efficiently," said David Weinstein, vice president of market development at Lutron, in a statement. "Sivoia QS provides easy integration of shades and lighting controls because of its simple, low-voltage wiring and installation."
Shades and lights can be controlled together through Lutron's Grafik Eye QS or seeTouch QS keypads.
Sivoia QS is available in Roller 64, Roller 100, Roller 225, and Roller 200CW, with the option of sheer, privacy, or blackout shade fabrics in addition to drapery track and 14 models of seeTouch QS keypads for control.
