We've talked about RFID being part of the AV world for years. Now, AMX has made it a reality. The company calls Anterus the world's first radio frequency identification solution designed specifically for use with integrated control systems. When Anterus is used with an AMX Resource Management Suite application such as its MeetingManager or ClassroomManager, system administrators not only will know when a device has been unplugged or moved (a feature of RMS), they also will be able to pinpoint its location. Simply place an Anterus Asset Tag on a device such as a projector, DVD player or laptop, and the AMX control system will notify administrators as it moves in and out of Anterus-monitored areas.
