RGB to Offer New Mix-and-Match Switchers
RGB Spectrum said it is expanding its Linx family of switchers.
Seven different types of input and output cards will be available, including HDCP-compliant DVI, fiber-optic DVI, analog RGB/YUV or HD/3G-SDI input cards, and DVI, fiber optic DVI, or scaled DVI output cards. The user can configure the switcher with the desired number of each type of card.
The Linx Prime line will comprise three frame sizes: 8x8, 16x16 and 32x32. With their modular architecture, a short-loaded frame can be expanded over time with additional I/O cards. Cards and power supplies are user-swappable and require no special tools for installation, according to the company.
Additionally, RGB Spectrum announced that it has expanded the capabilities of its Linx CrossXFormat switcher through the release of an HD/3G-SDI Input Card. The new two-channel modular input card works in the new Linx Prime switcher frames and takes video from sources such as cameras and video production devices and convert it for display and distribution to less costly DVI and HDMI displays. SMPTE 292M compliant HD-SDI signals with resolutions up to 1080i and 720p are supported as are 3G-SDI signals to 1080p compliant with SMPTE 424M.
