Extron's new DXP HDMI and DXP DVI Pro Series matrix switchers are HDMI 1.3-compatible and HDCP-compliant, enabling distribution of protected content to one or more compliant displays. They include EDID Minder, which manages EDID communications for each I/O, and Key Minder, which continuously authenticates HDCP-compliant devices for quick switching. If HDCP-encrypted content is routed to a noncompliant display, the switcher outputs a green signal, providing visual confirmation that the protected content can't be viewed.
