Tripp Lite, a manufacturer of power protection and connectivity products, has expanded its line of DisplayPort and Mini-DisplayPort products with four new splitters and three new adapters. These new additions allow for connection of non-DisplayPort monitors to DisplayPort computers, as well as splitting of a single DisplayPort/Mini-DisplayPort signal into two.
The expanded line of splitters offers four varieties of splitting capability to meet the needs of every application, according to the company, including DisplayPort to DisplayPort, DisplayPort to Mini-DisplayPort, Mini- to DisplayPort, and Mini- to Mini-DisplayPort. Each splitter is designed to transfer audio and video signal from a computer and split to two female port connectors, allowing two monitors to be connected.
The line of adapters also provides users with the ability to connect a computer with a DisplayPort or Mini-DisplayPort to a VGA or DVI monitor. Each supports high-resolution video transfer for best picture quality. Tripp Lite says the adapters are designed to be simple to implement, with no drivers or setup required.
"Our new expanded line of DisplayPort and Mini-DisplayPort products keeps up with the growing industry standard of A/V signal transmission," said David Posner, Tripp Lite product manager, in a statement. "As the usage of DisplayPort products grows, Tripp Lite is committed to providing high quality solutions for every application."
