RGB Spectrum's Linx 8x8sp is a compact version of the Linx 8x8 DVI matrix switcher. Packaged in a rugged 1RU chassis, the unit delivers digital switching and routing of DVI signals and allows for fully digital end-to-end signal distribution when combined with digital signal sources and displays. Power is supplied via an external, approved-for-medical-use in-line module, the company says.
It accepts input signals up to 1920x1200 and 2048x1080p, supports the full 1.65 Gbit/sec DVI standard, and offers built-in cable equalization on all inputs to extend cable lengths up to 50 meters. Price: $8,495 RGB Spectrum. 510-814-7000. www.rgb.com.
