Altinex, which makes signal management products, has received ISO 9001:2008 certification, according to company officials. Altinex had previously been ISO 9001:2000 compliant, but now meets the latest certification standards released by the International Organization for Standardization in late 2008.
ISO 9001:2008 is the fourth release of the standard. The 2008 revision includes clarifications to the existing ISO 9001:2000 standards based on user experience over the last eight years. ISO 9001:2008 requires measures to achieve customer satisfaction through consistent products and services that meet expectations, including a continually improved Quality Management System.
The ISO audit of Altinex was carried out by Southfield, Mich.-based Perry Johnson Registrars, an authority in quality certification.
"Altinex has always had a commitment to quality. This is a core value that permeates every level of our company, from management to customer relations and at every step of the manufacturing process," said Chris Hart, chief operating officer of Altinex, in statement. "Our new ISO 9001:2008 certification is another example of this ongoing commitment."
