Peerless Expands Retail Sales Force

Peerless Industries has restructured and expanded its retail sales organization to 16 regional sales team members, to better meet customer needs.

Peerless Industries has restructured and expanded its retail sales organization to 16 regional sales team members, to better meet customer needs.

"We examined the market conditions and challenges our customers are facing and responded to help improve their ability to serve their customers," said Mike Campagna, president of Peerless Industries, in a statement. "We're implementing a regionally based, focused approach to retail business that brings senior field [personnel] and management closer to the customer."

The new structure delivers four regionally based teams that consist of expert direct sales representatives that are led by a geographically dedicated business development director.

"It's a face-to-face, across-the-table, approach to doing business," said Nick Belcore, vice president of sales. "Our job is to help our customers get the right product on the shelf for their customers in that region, complete with unique tools, including POP, in-store marketing, and advertising."

Peerless has also established a Customer Advisory Board comprising the Peerless executive team and key business development personnel. The board meets on an ongoing basis to review the feedback from the regions and implements strategy.

"Our job is to provide more sales opportunities for our customers and strengthen them with resources and products that make them competitive," added Belcore.
