BenQ and XStreamHD announced the formation of a partnership that will bundle BenQ's W6000 projector with an XStreamHD Fast Start package of full HD direct-to-home entertainment for every customer purchasing the projector through Amazon or Projector People. The promotion begins May 1, 2010.
"XStreamHD provides consumers with unmatched HD entertainment quality and convenience that fits perfectly with the vision of BenQ," said Mitch Rauch, associate vice president of retail and e-commerce at BenQ America, in a statement.
The W6000 projector uses Texas Instruments' DLP technology to deliver HD content with BrilliantColor, high brightness, and high contrast ratios. It comes with a one-year manufacturer's warranty.
XStreamHD's entertainment solution delivers 1080p HD video and up to 7.1 channels of lossless audio, including DTS-HD Master Audio and FLAC, directly to the home via satellite, providing consumers with current movies, music, and electronic games in formats the company says are not commercially available from other digital delivery content services. The XStreamHD Fast Start package features an HD media server (starting with 1 TB of storage) and one HD media receiver that decodes full HD content. Additionally, the HD media server can multistream entertainment content across a home network to televisions equipped with an HD media receiver or to any DNLA Certified media device in the home, including laptops, audio equipment, and game consoles.
"Our partnership will enable W6000 purchasers to maximize their entertainment experience by delivering the highest quality movie content," said George Gonzalez, founder and CEO of XStreamHD, in a statement.
