Barco announced the expansion of its RLM product line with the RLM-W8 projector, an 8,000-lumen, three-chip DLP projector with WUXGA (1920x1200) resolution.
Barco announced the expansion of its RLM product line with the RLM-W8 projector, an 8,000-lumen, three-chip DLP projector with WUXGA (1920x1200) resolution. In addition to offering low power consumption and decreased noise levels, company officials said the new projector includes geometry correction and edge blending capabilities. It's well suited to the rental and staging markets and can go in an optional Barco stacking frame.
"The market responded positively to the RLM-W6. To better serve rental and staging applications, we decided to launch the RLM-W8," said Carl Rijsbrack, director of product and solutions at Barco, in a statement. "So we kept what made the W6 successful, and added some attractive features to the W8. This includes an increase in light output and contrast, and both warping and blending features. This allows customers to use the RLM-W8 to project onto any kind of surface, as a single unit or combined in a fleet for one composite image free of disturbances,"
Company officials said that although the Barco RLM-W8 projector is primarily designed for the rental and staging market, it shares all features of the RLM family of fixed-installation projectors.
