360 Systems is introducing Image Server MAXX 6T, a new high-performance video server that provides exceptional storage space, a high level of compatibility with file-based workflows, and the advantages of traditional base-band connections at a breakthrough price point, according to the company. The MAXX 6T's internal RAID-6 array provides six terabytes of storage, which translates to more than 700 hours of program time. It's designed to deliver the level of reliability required in 24/365 systems, including 360 Systems' Double Fault Tolerant RAID-6 technology that can accommodate the loss of two drives with no lost data. The MAXX 6T's extensive hardware features and software tools make it an easy upgrade path for tape-based operations. Operationally, MAXX 6T functions as a video recorder, three-channel play-out server, and as a graphics store with key-and-fill. Standard features include composite and SDI video ports, a frame synchronizer for recording satellite feeds or other “wild” sources, and a complete set of audio formats including AES/EBU digital, +4 balanced analog, and SDI-embedded audio. Price: under $30,000. For more information, see 360 Systems at InfoComm Booth 2345, visit www.360systems.com or call 818-991-0360.
