The new VS-211HDxl 2x1 automatic standby switcher from Kramer automatically switches to the secondary input when the primary signal is lost, and switches back once the signal is restored. The switcher supports SDI, HD-SDI, and 3G HD-SDI signals with two inputs and two outputs. According to the company, either of the two inputs can be manually switched via contact closures, or the unit can be set to switch automatically. It's also compatible with ASI signals on both inputs and on one output. When used with ASI signals, the VS-211HDxl functions as a two-input, single-output switcher only.
