Hitachi America's UltraVision 42-inch 42HDS69 and 55-inch 55HDS69 (pictured here) HDTV plasma displays feature three HDMI and three component inputs, and incorporate the company's PictureMaster HD III video processing technology. The screens perform at a maximum 16-bit color capability, with automatic 3:2 film processing, split-screen capabilities, and CableCARD compatibility. Each model includes four HD aspect modes and six SD aspect modes. The 42-inch model has 1024x1080 resolution and 1080p processing, while the 55-inch model produces 1365x768 resolution.
