AKG’s update of its C 747 microphone makes the new C 747 V11 pencil mic better able to cope with specific installed sound issues, the company says, by eliminating unwanted interference from mobile phones and wireless mics using an integrated RFi shield. The frequency response has also been fine-tuned to provide a clearer, more understanding sound without changing the ambience of the original microphone’s sound. The company also added a hyper-cardioid polar pattern to provide consistent off-axis rejection to control ambient noise and feedback in acoustically challenging environments. Another new feature is a switchable LF roll-off filter that suppresses mechanical noise. Price: Contact vendor. AKG. 818-920-3237. www.akg.com.
