Extron Electronics' new FOX 4G Matrix 320x fiber matrix switcher is expandable from 16x16 to 320x320 ports. The design has 20 board slots that can accept multimode and singlemode FOX 4G Matrix I/O boards so that all or some of the slots are occupied. The I/O boards are hot-swappable for field upgradability and expansion. The system accepts and routes standard-definition video, high-resolution computer video, DVI, and multirate SDI. It supports real-time monitoring in order to self-disgnose the I/O boards, fiber links, power supplies, internal fans, and general switcher functions. It can also be configured and operated remotely through RS-232 serial or IP Link Ethernet control, as well as an optional MKP 3000 X-Y Remote Control Panel. Price: Varies, contact vendor.
