Home Theater Screen: dnp Supernova Epic Screen

dnp introduces a new wide screen for fine dedicated home theaters.

dnp introduces a new wide screen for fine dedicated home theaters. The Supernova Epic Screen displays movies in all aspect ratios in high-contrast, neutral color. The screen's motorized masking system is adjustable, maintaining a constant image height. The concave design, says dnp, helps give viewers a superior image, and the screen itself absorbs retro illumination for heightened contrast in dark rooms. A high-contrast filter allows the image to be reflected from the screen. Black levels are balanced with precisely calibrated brightness for full color saturation, regardless of viewing position. The screen can display all formats, from 4:3 to ultra-wide 2.40:1 Cinemascope with enhanced resolution. Electronically controlled curtains aim to set a movie-theater ambience and maintain image height. The curtains are set close to the screen to reduce shadows. The Supernova Epic is available in 8-, 10-, and 12-foot versions, and the screen material is ISF certified. Price: N/A. For more information, contact dnp USA at 714-545-2711 or www.supernovascreen.com.
