Yamaha Commercial Audio Systems introduces three new high-powered amplifiers, the TX4n, the TX5n, and the TX6n (shown). Each amp operates at 2,200 watts, 2,500 watts, and 3,000 watts per channel, respectively, into 2 ohms with a 24-bit 96kHz DSP engine. There is enough DSP power built into the new series to eliminate the need for external equalizers, delays, and speaker processors in many situations, the company says. The TXn input configuration can be changed as necessary using optional plug-in Yamaha mini-YGDAI interface cards. Price: TX4n, $3,999; TX5n, $4,499; TX6n, $5,199.
