The company's ZvBox 170, introduced at Digital Signage Expo, is a rack-mount, fan-cooled HD encoder/RF modulator that distributes VGA and Component video to HDTVs over coax as an HDTV cable channel. It ingests VGA up to 1680x1050 and Component including 720p, 480i, or 480p, encodes the stream as MPEG-2 at 60 frames per second, then outputs it as QAM to fit into any available cable channel.
