It incorporates two separate back-to-back, 1-inch-diameter vibrating surface capsules with gold-sputtered diaphragms. The Perception 400 offers 20 Hz to 20 kHz response and 145 dB maximum SPL at less than 0.5 percent THD. The microphone has a switchable bass roll-off switch and a switchable 10 dB pre-attenuation pad. A screw-on, spider-type shock mount and metal carrying case are included. Price: $559.95.
