NetStreams introduced the TouchLinX TLA250, an amplified touch pad with a built-in 50-watt per channel amplifier. The new model has a glass-finish faceplate with capacitive touch-sensitive buttons that can be tailored to complement a room's décor. It has Burr-Brown analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog converters, as well as an EIM port for connecting local audio in a zone. The faceplate is slightly larger than an average dual-panel light switch, but still offers a two-gang box configuration and needs only 1.5 inches of in-wall depth installed. The front panel includes an IR receiver to allow control from a universal remote and the ability to pass commands along a NetStreams DigiLinX network. Price: Under $2,000.
