Zaxcom's New Theatrical Microphone Input Adapter

The STA200 from Zaxcom is a microphone input adapter that expands the company's TRX900 wireless microphone transceiver. The adapter is specifically designed for theater use and allows the production staff to connect two additional microphones, for a total of three mics supported by a single body pack.

The adapter has two auxiliary microphone connectors that face down for mounting on a performer's tap shoes during dance presentations; the audio from the two mics mix together for transmission on a discrete channel. A vocal microphone connects to the TRX900 and transmits on a second channel. The two discrete channels separate the tap shoe audio from the vocal audio.
